| The standard page templates for Sites4Doctors websites and intranets are being given a progressive style update. We don’t feel it would be helpful to patients and the public if we were to make sudden, large-scale changes, so we intend to introduce the changes progressively over the next few weeks. You will be notified of each change as soon as it has been made, and if, having seen the effect, you would prefer to go back to any of the original styles, we’ll be happy to do this for you. The individual changes will not be dramatic, and will be made with particular attention to accessibility, especially for patients with visual impairments. The first, to be implemented today, is a change of fonts. The body text font will be changed from Arial to Verdana, a similar but more up-to-date and styling sans-serif font. The headings and subheadings will change from Times Roman to Verdana. Times was chosen to lend the sites a dignified, professional air when they were originally designed, but now looks a little old-fashioned. If you have any thoughts of your own on styling changes you would like, please let us know. |
