Subject: Public search engine issues

Your sites have just been re-submitted to a range of search engines including Google and, for the first time, to the new MSN Search, which had already found most of them anyway and which seems very fast and efficient! It’s the one you get when you click the Search button at thr top of the Explorer window.

Your page templates now generate a meta-data line containing keywords automatically. This contains a standard set, plus the surnames of all your GPs and each line of each surgery address – here is Charnwood Surgery’s as it currrntly appears:

If you’re not familiar with meta-data, this line is used to ensure that search engines see all the likely search terms for your site, even if they don’t appear in your page text. If you think of any others that people are likely to use, please let me know and I’ll add them.
