| We are currently working to streamline the delivery of all Sites4Doctors client websites, as the hit-counting and visit-counting system has placed an unacceptable load on the database. These functions are being moved to a separate database dedicated solely to them, but this has to be done one site at a time to ensure that your visit counters continue to show correct values. At the same time the way the web pages access the database is being optimized. You will be notified when your site has been updated. You should notice an immediate improvement in speed, and a further improvement as each additional site is updated. The only small problem is that until all sites have been updated, the Hit-count summary page which you can access from the SMS home page will not show new hits on updated sites. This page will the re-activated to use the new database as soon as all sites have been updated. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. |
