| Once again, apologies for the various test mailings you may have
received in the course of this development. The system is now - barring unforeseen problems, as ever! - fully up
and running. If you look at the Site Management System home-page you will see that
the ’Latest News’ link has been replaced by one called ’Email
updates’. Clicking this will take you to a page of links to the
original text of all the updates sent out since October 2004. Until
now, the updates have been copied manually into the Latest News page:
now you see the originals. As with the old news page, the updates are
listed in date order, latest first. A useful benefit of the new system is that we receive a ’bounce’
message for any editor’s or administrator’s email address to which
the update could not be delivered. These will be forwarded to the
main contact for the site to help with keeping the SMS Users data
up-to-date. |
