| For all GP practice sites, the Comments and Suggestions Box has been modified as follows. If anyone posting a comment or suggestion gives an email address, this is no longer visible to people visiting the site. However, if a site editor or administrator is previewing the site via the Site Management System (when the yellow header and footer bands are displayed on the page) the email address is shown as a mailto link, both on the list of comments in the box and on the individual comment page (where editors and administrators can also see links to delete the comment or respond to it). This is to address issues of patient confidentiality identified by a number of practices. The form on which the patient enters his or her comment now contains an explanatory note on this. |
