| Some of you may have been plagued with items posted in your boxes that consist mostly of lists of website links. As far as we can tell, these are intended to get these sites scanned by search engines. We have just put a new filtering system in all sites to ensure that any entry in any of the boxes that contains "http://" (the essential prefix for any web address) will be rejected. I hope this will solve the problem. If you receive any other spurious messages - other than simple plain-text ones, which I’m afraid we can’t filter out - please let me know so we can try to keep them out, too. And don’t forget: if you look at any Comments and Suggestions entry in the Site Management System’s preview mode (that is with the yellow bands at the top and bottom of each page) you will be offered a link that deletes the entry. |
